Whenever you see a picture of an LED bulb, you most often see an A19 bulb – the one that most resembles the familiar incandescent bulb that goes in your overhead light fixture or reading lamp. However, LED lighting comes in all shapes and sizes, from street lights to office lighting, to that dimmable track lighting that shows off your favorite work of art.
To help lighting manufacturers sort things out, Power Integrations has created the LED Bulb Design Selector. This new tool lets design engineers choose from images of the most common types of light bulb or lighting application and then view a list of appropriate designs.
PI’s Design Selector features over 30 new designs for LED lighting with new designs regularly being added. The Design Selector is available in the following languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
To try the LED Bulb Design Selector, go to PI’s LED Driver ICs page and click on the picture of the bulbs in the upper right-hand corner.
