GaN-on-Si LED technology poised to drive down SSL lighting costs

With the demonstration today of its 135 lm/W cool-white and 85 lm/W warm-white Gallium-Nitride-on-Silicon-based LED technology, Bridgelux says it has achieved a major breakthrough in solid-state lighting. ISSCC Industry Demonstration Session in Pictures

By Christina Nickolas New to ISSCC 2011 was the Industry Demonstration Session (IDS) which was held on Tuesday February 22nd from 4-7pm.  It featured live demos of selected ICs presented by industry in regular paper sessions.  These ICs included wireless communication, high-performance amps, graphics processors, OLED microdisplays, and more.
